Signs of Life I

My fascination with space dates back to my childhood. I was in school when one day the teacher brought in a television to show us the lift off of space shuttle Columbia. It felt like a new age, like the future was here. Many years later, after the end of the space shuttle program I discovered this weathered ship at a pizza place go-kart track. It is the ghost of the dreams we once had.

Mi fascinación por el espacio se remonta a la infancia. Estaba en la escuela cuando un día la maestra trajo un televisor para mostrarnos el despegue del transbordador espacial Columbia. Se sentía como una nueva era, como si el futuro estuviera aquí. Muchos años más tarde, después del final del programa del transbordador espacial, descubrí esta nave degradada en una pista de karts de una pizzería. Es el fantasma de los sueños que una vez tuvimos.
